Fiber Selection and Preparation

The process begins with selecting the appropriate fiber type based on application requirements: single-mode fibers (SMF-28e®) for long-distance, low-attenuation links, or multi-mode fibers (OM3/OM4/OM5) for high-bandwidth, short-distance connections . Premium-grade fibers from manufacturers like Corning® or OFS® are chosen. The fiber is stripped of its outer jacket and buffer coating, then cleaned using alcohol or ultrasonic cleaning to remove dust and residues .

Connector Assembly
