Enclosure and Mechanical Requirements

• Wiring and knockouts: Reserved openings must comply with national standards and be sealed to Class 3 sealing requirements after installation .

• Earthing: Two solid earthing points on either side of the box .
• Type testing: All components, including switch disconnectors and isolators, must have valid type test certificates from approved laboratories .
• Mechanical and environmental tests: Switch disconnectors and boxes must withstand vibration, shock, and tropical conditions as per IEC and national standards .
